Every once in a while I have the urge to tear out the interior and replace it with something else.
You know, from something like this…
to something like this…
The B layout is actually from the Islander Freeport 36 which has the same hull as our Islander 36.
Changing the interior around would be fairly easy but fraught with any number of should I or should I not decisions. As it happens, I woke up around 4AM with an urge that involved a Fein multitool and a crow bar and a blood lust to create a Franken-Islander.
You know how that goes.
Still, it’s something to think about…
A midship “double-cruncher” is a good thing! A very liveable interior plan.
