There’s an excellent article in Yachting Monthly on “The terrifying and beautiful reality of yachting through the Middle East”. It’s well worth your time. Of course, it’s not the route you’d want to take currently, but a great job of promoting the idea of paths less traveled.
More areas that are currently on the “maybe not today” list are Ukraine, Lebanon, and Israel. All places that, for one reason or another, were on my list of places I wanted to visit or revisit.
It’s well past time for someone to write “A Cruising Guide for End Times: Fun & Frolic”.
So it does go, but maybe not today…
