It’s not often you come across a near perfect sailboat. To reach anything close to perfection, you need to have time and an inclined owner to let the boat evolve. Sometimes that sort of evolution might take decades.
Which brings us to James Baldwin’s Atom, a Pearson Triton 28, veteran of two circumnavigations, and 45-years of inspired common sense tinkering. Or, in other words, a boat as close to perfect sailboat as anyone is likely to find.

What can I say but it’s a pretty awesome sailboat and well worth studying…
