I've always had a thing for the Shoehorn/Shoestring plan; I think it is one of the more successful attempts to add a dash of style to an economically-driven program. The GA in this case I find a bit off, but there is gobs of real estate to work with to make it suit.
It's also nice to see the credit fall where it ought to as Ms. Hill entertains us all with her new build.
It's not necessarily "needful"….. Chris Morejohns bluewater sharpies take this shape and refine it by actual ocean experience. They are much the same. Chrises are built tough as a brick. If you're going to have a long shallow keel with deep forefoot, a la Colvin, then dispense with the girlee mon gaff rig…. I mean…. c'mon….
