An interview worth watching, something from the “no longer accessible” department, and a good thing happened…
It’s interesting that when I’m pondering how to deal with, some might say, far too many tools on a too small a boat, that Dave Z has a great post on the subject of tools. Makes me want to go right out and buy some more tools.
The problem with trying to get rid of any apparently superfluous tools is that the minute they are well and truly gone, the dreaded boat tool rule will raise its ugly head…
Every job aboard a boat will require at least one tool you no longer have.
The much-loved drill press takes up too much room. In my experience, it will become required for some project (like drilling a bunch of 1/2″ 316 stainless steel) as soon as it’s gone.
Tools are crafty in that regard and, I expect, take great enjoyment at the thought of me banging my head against a bulkhead in their absence.
So it does go…
