Some music I need to buy, an interesting read, and something in the “context shift” department…
I’m not a big fan of spending money for the sake of spending. Sure, I know that most folk look at shopping as a recreational pastime but, that doesn’t work for me.
Part of the problem is I’ve worked in design and retail so have a pretty good understanding of how things work. The bottom line being that retailers are not your friend and their only interest is the money in your wallet.
Of course there are rare exceptions but they don’t last long and mostly wind up out of business or absorbed by their competition. A bummer that.
Anyway, like I said, I hate spending money. In fact, I’ll jump through some amazing hoops to avoid parting with money and spend a lot of time researching what things should cost and how to source goods that reflect an honest value.
That said, most folk just call me cheap but I prefer frugal…
