Time does have a way of trucking right along as this factoid came to my attention with my morning coffee. As I recall, in general, it was not the best of times. While being broke in Paris might sound romantic it was anything but. Still, all these years later, almost all of my memories of the time are good ones.
In ’81, I had not yet walked into a marine bookseller on Avenue de la Grande Armée where I would come upon a dusty copy of Phil Bolger’s “30-Odd Boats”. A book which included the Jessie Cooper design which would alter my life in a big way. It kinda makes you think about the little things and chance meetings that change the course of a life without you knowing it.
Anyway, I have stuff to do and my second cup of coffee is the current order of the day.
