Back when I first used the word “tradical” it was to describe a Hoyt innovation.
Garry Hoyt was big on innovation. Which is saying much in an industry that is, more often than not, innovation adverse.
You can learn a lot from looking at his Balanced Jib Boom or his Offset Rig if only to admire the balance of simplicity and brilliance he was capable of.
He was also someone who answered my questions and shared his ideas when asked. Above all he was a nice guy who will be greatly missed.
