doom spending…

Some Caribbean news, Sail Delmarva has something to say, and EBM with an important treaty point

Face it, we’re all living in hard times and many of us are starting to think about buying stuff today that may not be available or affordable tomorrow.

Yeah, doom spending is a thing.

Generally I consider myself an optimist in that there’s almost always a way to get through any situation with a minimal amount of trauma. Of course, excrement does have an annoying habit of coming into contact with those rotating blades more often than I’d like. Plus, we do happen to be at one of those points in history where there seems to be a surfeit of excrement, a lot of bad actors, and a shit load of available fans.

While I’ve always hated the whole prepper thing as simply being a fear-induced arm of consumerism, a bit of educated buying of spares and needful stuff would be no bad thing. The upside is that you’ll save money in the long run as prices will continue to rise as long as CEO bonuses are part of the equation.

Bummer that.
