So, its come to my attention, that Dave Z has a new design that I really like. It’s simple, an easy build, and affordable. Sure it’s not what everyone would consider a ‘proper’ cruising boat but when you look at it for a bit it grows on you. In my opinion, it comes as close to being a perfect cruising boat as anyone’s going to find. Or, in other words, a nearly perfect VolksCruiser.
In particular, I could see a couple cruising just such a craft for a couple of years in the Caribbean. Same goes for doing Europe or any other cruising ground one might care to spend some quality time in.
Which is why you really should be sure to go over and see what Dave Z has to say about it. He is a long-time practitioner of the Volkscruiser concept.
