The William Shaw designed Pearson 27 is an interesting boat. Built from 1986 through 1991, you’re now seeing them selling for as little as $6K and they’re very much worth checking out.
Offhand, I see a lot of the Fantasia design mirrored in this Pearson 27 with the winged keel being the obvious big difference. On the positive side, you’re a lot more inclined to find the Pearson 27 in the US of A. For those who want more info on the boat, Bob Perry did a review that covers the needful.
In point of fact, there was a Pearson 27 which lost its rig in Hurricane Maria that I lusted for as it would have been an excellent boat for conversion to junk rig.
