An empty promise, a good point, and in the “going down the AI rabbit hole” department…
I’ve been reading a lot of fiction of late. Mostly, I suspect, to avoid doom-scrolling the news. Part of my current reading list are some books that I have not read since the early 70s. Novels and novellas that impacted my world view that I’d like to reread to see how they held up.
One book is “Bike Riding in Los Angeles” by Marc Norman. Of course, like so many great books these days, it’s not available as an E-book and I find it sad that so many great books are out-of-print and nearly impossible to find.
As I recall, I liked the book so much that I bought a half dozen or so copies back in 1973 for Christmas presents. Of course, back in those days, books were my go-to present.
These days, with a couple of exceptions, there are very few books I’d gift to folks. The current exceptions being Sailing in Place and the Sturmtaucher Trilogy. All books that deserve a lot more readers.
So it does go…
