Uncouth but true, worth listening to while sanding, and in the “$50K bag of cash” department…
The other day we had a rainstorm of somewhat epic proportions. To be honest, I was not prepared for it. The storm was so bad that I had to get up twice during the night to bail the water out of our full to the brim dinghy.
That’s a lot of water.
Seriously, 13-inches or so in a twelve hour period is some kind of impressive. Since we have a watermaker, we’re out of practice in the rainwater collection game and not being able to collect some of that rainwater was sorta/kinda depressing.
On the plus side, we found we had a few leaks here and there. While not terrible, we can get to doing on fixing said leaks before we experience another similar deluge.
Another task now on the to-do list is setting up a simple rainwater harvesting system using the bimini.
What can I say, it’s a boat and there’s always a to-do list…
