All too often I keep hearing folks refer to their boats as being “tiny”. Especially when it’s used in a way to impress. I just can’t see any bragging rights if you’re sailing a 32-foot boat with 11,800.00 pounds of displacement you’re not on a “tiny” boat.
So, what is a “tiny” boat?
Maybe Yann could weigh in…
Need I say more?
“tiny” has become one of those buzzwords, blame the “tiny” house movement. As always, “tiny” compared to what? Some US “tiny” houses are bigger than my first home…….NOT that “tiny” !
Baluchon is more like a backpack, some boats are like a 2 space tent, and progress to small caravans to large SV with all the bells and whistles.
Boats under 20ft, i usually consider small, i wont use the “T” word……..
